Learn how to sew buttonholes using a sewing machine and attach buttons. This technique can be used for sewing clothing and other items. Students will leave the workshop ready to add buttons to their next sewing project. (Teens/Adults) (1 day)

Students will work with Prismacolor soft, wax-based colored pencils to learn layering, blending, and shading techniques on professional acid-free paper. Subjects vary according to each student’s personal design to create lasting works of art. (Teens/Adults) (5 weeks)

It’s an artform that’s perfect for self-expression, relaxation and a little bit of messy fun. Whether you’re new to crafting or a seasoned artist, you’ll learn how to turn humble materials into a cohesive, visually-stunning piece of art. No experience needed. You’ll learn how to combine art and narrative to create comics about a specific moment in your life, a turning point, or wider stories that could include many generations of your family. No experience is necessary. Just bring your stories and an open mind. This class is perfect for anyone who wants to self-reflect, self-express and wants to learn more about the burgeoning field of graphic memoir. (Adults) (5 days)
