CPFA Committee
CPFA is an 11 member politically appointed volunteer committee dedicated to the promotion of the performing and fine arts in Cheshire, its surrounding communities, as well as throughout the state of Connecticut.
The Committee helps facilitate communications between CPFA Artsplace and all arts organizations as well as community services organizations in Cheshire.
The Committee acts in an advisory capacity by supporting CPFA Artsplace through performing and fine arts activities and by fostering cooperation among visual and performing arts groups and encouraging participation, support and preservation of performing and fine arts in the community.
The following events are hosted and supported by the CPFA Committee:
Committee members come from a variety of backgrounds including, but not limited to: Actual artists, Art History, Music Education, Grant Writing, Dance, History Teaching, Flower expertise, Theater management, as well as actors, lighting design, sewing design, makeup artistry, puppetry, business management, as well as realtors and performers of all genres.
Meetings are held at Artsplace every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

- The Committee sponsors an annual ARTSDAY event in town that hosts between 500-700 participants yearly.
- With available funds, CPFA provides $1,000 in college student scholarships each year to Cheshire residents.
- The Committee strives to educate the community through CPFA Artsplace in workshops of all artistic mediums, dance demonstrations, puppetry, musical & dramatic performances, costuming, photography, pottery, as well as multi-media presentations and educational materials for local museums and our school system.
