Monday-Thursday, June 21-24
Beginner Drawing  (Grades K-1)  9-10:30 am  
Beginner/Intermediate Drawing  (Grades 2-3)  11 am-12:30 pm  
The ability to draw is essential and serves as a foundation for all other media. Skills taught will include contour line, flat color and texture using Flair pens and colored markers with step-by-step instruction.  Instructor: Kristy Endriss  $55/60*

​Upcycled Art  (Grades K-3)  9-10:30 am 
Let’s create! Using recycled materials, students will make create exciting sculptures, paintings and masks in this four-day workshop.

​​Tuesday-Thursday, June 29-July 1
​Whoo, Woof, When  (Grades K-2)  12:30-2:30 pm 
Students create a dancing owl mobile, puppy pal bag puppet and dino days mini-mural. Each child will receive a bag containing all materials that can also be used to transport completed projects home.  Instructor: Linda Giordano  $65/70*

​Needlefelt a Dragon  (Grades 3-6)  10 am-12 pm 
Needle-felt a magical pet that will be your companion to accompany you through your summer adventures. Soft wool will be sculpted with a special barbed needle. Instructor: Robin McCahill  $80/85*

​Anime / Manga  (Grades 6-12)  1:30-3:30 pm 
Work in black and white to create anime style characters before you delve into color. You will develop confidence in figure drawing.

​Earth & Sky  (Grades K-2)  10 am-12 pm or 12:30-2:30 pm 
Celebrate nature with these four fun projects: Rock Painting (one for you to keep and one for the planting areas around Artsplace), Mixed Media Sunflowers (inspired by Cheshire’s new “Summer of Sunflowers” event), Butterflies (you discover a new species of butterfly and decide it’s unique colors, name and habitat) and Sun Faces (create a cheerful, smiling sun face poster to perk up any room).  Instructor: Linda Giordano  $85/90

Friday, July 16​
​Friday Night Painting  (Grades 6-8)  6:30-8:30 pm
Flipflops on a Beach:  Relax with friends on a Friday night and come home with a finished fun, acrylic painting to enjoy.   Instructor: Kristy Endriss   $25/30*

​Acrylic Painting  (Grades 5-7)  1-3:30 pm
A fun workshop teaching step-by-step methods to gain important skills including shading and shadowing. A new 9” x 12” canvas painting will becompleted each day.  Instructor: Kristy Endriss  $80/85*

​Who Was...?  (Grades 2-4)  9 am-12 pm
Learn about master artists such as Picasso, Matisse, O’Keefe and many others, then try their techniques to create your own inspired masterpieces.  Projects will include collage, drawing, painting and printmaking.  Bring a water bottle and a snack to enjoy outside.

​Line, Shading & Texture  (Grades 4-6)  1-3 pm
Learn pencil control to make objects appear three dimensional.  An important art skill to use lifelong when drawing.

Ocean Art Camp  (Grades 1-4)  9 am-2 pm

Spend a week exploring some of the amazing creatures that live in our oceans and do some awesome art activities at the same time! Included will be the intelligent octopus, scary white shark, narwhals, clownfish, dolphins ancient nautilus,  and more.  Create drawings, paintings, sculptures, collages, sunprints and more as you learn more about our underwater companions. Camp will be both inside and outside. Bring a nut-free lunch. Children must wear masks while inside.  Instructor: Sue Mullaney  $240/$250*
