Sue Mullaney

Teaches: Children's Multi-Media

A Connecticut native, Sue Mullaney earned her B.S. degree in clothing and textile design from the University of Connecticut and her M.A. in art education from Southern Connecticut State University.

After working in advertising for 14 years, in various ad agencies, corporations and Coleco, she changed gears, and became a public school educator. She spent the next 21 years of her career as a visual arts teacher in the New Haven and Cheshire Public Schools. In addition, she has taught classes at West Hartford Adult Ed; the Learning Exchange Program in Manchester; and Middletown’s Russell Library. She has also taught summer classes at the Guilford Art Center, and is currently a member of the faculty at Artsplace in Cheshire, where she teaches classes in mixed media and paper maché to children.

Sue has enjoyed photography for 30 years. Primarily self-taught, she has honed her skills with the help of a few courses. Basketry and printmaking are some of her other interests.

​Recently, her photographs have been included in the Spectrum Gallery’s Shadow Dance exhibit in Centerbrook. One of her photos also is included in the Images 2020 show sponsored by the Shoreline Alliance
