Cartooning Critters (Grades 2-3) ~ 7 weeks
Saturdays, January 21-March 4, 10:45 am-12:15 pm Learn to draw from animal toys and reference photos to gain understanding of how real animals “work” and then use simple shapes to create cartoon versions. There will be “Draw Along with Me” exercises with the instructor so that young students can follow step-by-step and bring understanding into creating their own original critters. Drawing Fantasy Creatures (Grades 3-5) ~ 7 weeks
Wednesdays, January 18-March 1, 6:15-7:45 pm Using pencil, pen and colored pencil, students will learn how to draw different textures, feathers, and scales with simple lines and artist tricks. Choosing from a variety of fantastical creatures such as dragons, unicorns, trolls and more, students will learn how to make their creatures look as believable as possible! From Sketch to Finish (Grades 6-8) ~ 7 weeks (No class Feb. 1)

Storybook Art (Grades K-1) ~ 7 weeks CLASS FILLED
Saturdays, January 21-March 4, 9-10:30 am Children’s literature including Snowmen at Night, Bear Snores On, Unicorn Dreams and others will be read aloud each week to investigate hidden messages of kindness, sharing, friendship, gratitude, etc. Students will explore a variety of art materials, tools, and techniques to design fun artwork inspired by each book. We’ll look at things previously destined for the trash and ask, “What could THIS become?” These minis can be used in gaming, dollhouse or shadowbox scenes, or as jewelry-starters (charms, zipper pulls).
