Discover Your Drawing Style Class

Thursdays, February 16-March 9 6:30-8 pm
The way we get better at drawing is to DRAW, and the way we find our singular, recognizable drawing style is to… DRAW! We are all unique individuals with our own histories and points of view, so it stands to reason that our drawing style should also reflect this individuality. A recognizable style is something others search for and how they’ll remember You! With this in mind, for this class we’ll go on a journey to discover our drawing JOY and enhance our natural drawing tendencies and strengths through a series of CHALLENGES, GAMES and PROMPTS. We’ll see for ourselves how devoting a bit of time every day to our drawing practices can yield huge dividends! We’ll draw from (our) LIFE and our IMAGINATION, and incorporate text, patterns and new color combinations into our art. Objects will be drawn several different ways so students can rank their favorites in order to trailblaze their own unique drawing-path. The illustrator-instructor will offer gentle guidance and suggestions for “ways forward”. If one of your Resolutions was to get in the habit of drawing “on-the-regular”, this four-week class might be a good way to set that intention into motion!
